Isabel Agüera Espejo-Saavedra was born in Villa del Río, Córdoba county,(Spain), in the bosom of a noted family of literary origin from maternal side.

 

 

Third out of nine siblings, from very young, she standed out for being very fond of books, as well as for her great easiness in narrating and writing stories and poems, receiving her first prizes when she was only nine years old. 

 


She studied to be a teacher in the Normal School of Córdoba, teaching in several towns of the county and in the county of Jaén, where she is remembered for her great dedication, not only to the school but to all type of activities, promoted and directed by her big restlessness in diffusing the culture so much in the young as in the old people. 

 


Mother of three children, and nowadays widowed from who was her inseparable partner for 28 years, inher own words, “ life is just a walk through the lapse of moments where one must sow enthusiasm and love.”
